When struggling with your thought life consider . . .
1. Why you are thinking the thoughts you are. Be honest about it.
2. Then ask, is this thought or action going to draw you closer to God or make you hide from God, like Adam and Eve in the Bible? Are you rationalizing your thoughts, feeling or actions so you can justify them?
3. Check and see what social or physical environment you are in and why you are there.
4. Consider what you are feeding your mind. What kind of books are you reading? What kind of music are you listening to? Why do you watch the kind of movies you watch?
Really do you want to change? Then change what you are looking at . . . For you will surely go where you are looking.
